Thank you for looking after mum. I am so grateful for the kind care the whole team gave to mum and for helping us through this sad time. She received excellent care and as a family we received so much support.

Coronavirus COVID-19 – Fundraising & Retail Update

Read the latest Fundraising and Retail update from Bury Hospice

Thursday 19th March

PLEASE NOTE – Radcliffe shop is shut until further notice. All shops no longer trading on a Sunday until further notice.

All Hospice and community events planned up until the end of May are being postponed. Currently all events post May are planned to continue. Please talk directly to the fundraising team if you have any questions about events you are involved with or organising to raise money for the Hospice.

General donations: We are encouraging people with donations to continue dropping them off at the main Hospice reception area, providing they follow the Hospice checks prior to entering the building and then upon entry follow the sanitisation guidelines.

Hearts/cheque and charity of the year presentations: we are postponing both these activities.

Tubs and buckets distribution and collection: can continue as usual providing collectors follow Hospice sanitisation guidelines; that is to wear personal protective gloves; wipe the tubs and bucket handles and main area with antibacterial wipes upon collection and wash hands afterwards.

Weekly lottery: We will continue to run the weekly lottery draw. We will endeavour to continue collecting cash and cheque payments via our normal process. However, in the event that our lottery collectors are not able to collect cash or cheque payments, monies will be collected from relevant agents as soon as we are able to do so.

Summer raffle: is unaffected and the next draw is still planned to take place in July, with raffle tickets being distributed in May.

Lottery canvassers (our door to door lottery promoters) are unaffected providing the lottery collectors follow government sanitisation and socialisation guidelines, business can continue as usual.

Shops: Although it is our intention to keep all the shops open for as long as is possible we are reviewing this on a daily basis. Any temporary shop closures and/or changes to the shops opening hours will be communicated on social media, on our website and in our shop windows.

Radcliffe shop is shut until further notice. All shops no longer trading on a Sunday until further notice.

Warehouse: collections and deliveries. Deliveries and collections continue as usual providing drivers follow recommended government guidelines. All initial calls are screened prior to collection.

Ebay: will carry on as usual.
